My name is Christian Charity Amis, and I started my journey as a writer in pure confusion. I am a lover of stories and characters, and I am also obsessed with dissecting opinions and understanding the world. I write simply because it is the only real way I can understand anything. I write fiction stories because they are the best way to experience the world, and I write news stories because they are the best way to understand the world I am experiencing.

As a writer, journalist, and aspiring web designer, I aim to gain understanding and create content for all the wonderful different characters of this world.

I graduated from Full Sail University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment. I am currently a graduate student in the New Media Journalism program. I also study web development and am enrolled in the Free Code Camp Full Stack Web Development program.

I’ve always been obsessed with words and stories, whether that be through high school plays, writing my own songs, poems, and short stories, or reading books like Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte or A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket.

My time in the Creative Writing for Entertainment program at Full Sail has given me a deeper understanding, appreciation, and obsession with television. Some of my favorite genres include Japanese anime and Korean Dramas. Every day I find new stories that I love.

My goal as a writer has always been focused on writing stories with exceptionally complex characters. One could call me a mystery writer since my passion lies in discovering the mysteries of human nature. I am more often thought of as an urban fantasy writer because my fondness for the magical and the supernatural always seeps into the stories I craft. One such project that I am currently working on entitled, “The Blood War” is a massive urban fantasy series that follows the intricacies of a paranormal war and how it affects the many different characters who must find a way to survive. Along with the novels, I intend to write short stories set in the same world.

My goals as a journalist are a little closer to home as I explore the small town of Perry, Georgia. The people who live there and the things they do for one another have always been of immense interest to me. I hope to one day compare them and other towns like Perry, so that I may better understand how we can make this world a better place.

As an aspiring web designer, I simply aim to assist my skills as a writer and journalist. I am also currently working on a small teaching venture (a computer class for adult students) based on a website I created using Wix tools. I wish to rebuild the site using more original content as well as advanced web developing skills attained throughout my independent studies.
